Maintaining the Highest Health Standards

In a post-COVID-19 world, sanitation is critical.

(Community Name) is dedicated to your health and safety, which is why we have instituted new protocols and cleaning procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Ensuring our tenants and residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority.

Our community is following the recommendations of the CDC on prevention steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, and will wear gowns and gloves when interacting with tenants who present symptoms. We also are staying up to date with the CDC recommendations as they may continue to change. In addition, we are in close contact with the local and state health department, and we are following their guidance.

The CDC has done a careful review of the death rate in the elderly, especially those with dementia or chronic diseases. Experts are recommending we take action to limit individuals from entering our building and to ensure sick employees stay home. We offer hand washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. We exercise proper hand washing hygiene as well as coughing and sneezing etiquette and avoid shaking hands and hugs with any individual. Our residents are encouraged to stay home as we offer additional support as needed with virtual visits, organizing the delivery of essential items, and providing engaging activities within their own apartments or small groups.

We are providing daily health screens for all residents, and have increased sanitizing and disinfecting protocols. The apartments have individual heating and cooling systems so the residents aren’t having to share duct work with their neighbors, this also helps reduce the spread of infection. Residents are socially distanced and wear masks when outside of their apartment and we encourage frequent handwashing.  The vaccine for COVID-19 is being rolled in out ou community and will be offered to residents, staff and essential caregivers.

The current COVID-19 outbreak situation means that it is critical that we take every precaution possible to keep you and your loved ones safe.

In Memory of Diane P Hanson…
Dick Hanson – a friend of our campus for the best part of 20 years had delivered the UPright Walker for our staff to work with our elders who are in need of this type of walker. He has ordered a few for us. He consulted with what we needed & …provided.
Jenna, Hannah & therapy team from Aegis Therapies (our team) could not wait to get them out of the box & assemble. This is an invaluable gift to our campus.
Pictures show Hannah with her treasure today, there are pictures of Dick & Diane Hanson & their grandson Blake who worked as a server 12 years ago or so at the Villa kitchen.
They have never forgotten us & the friends we made over the years with Inez, Helen, the Tornado, Bebe & more. Dick & Diane have shown up at Jazz Sessions & many activities on-site; they have taken our residents out for ice cream at Selma’s. Diane (RIP) & Dick have been true treasure who continues to support us & a need.
Thank you, Dick.
